After 25 years as an arts administrator, grant writer, and personal assistant to a symphony conductor, I have jumped with both feet—also legs, arms, torso, head, and heart— into the delightful, inspirational world of kid lit.
Since my own childhood, reading has been one of my biggest passions, and writing has always been my favorite part of any job. Now, crafting words and ideas for kids brings me joy every day. And I get to read picture books and middle grade books as part of my job! Loads of them! I also get to work with and become friends with all sorts of lovely, talented people in the kid lit community, which is a very kind, generous, and uplifting place to be.
I’m a wife and mom of three awesome grown children (and a daughter-in-law-to-be!) in their 20s. My husband and I live in the Los Angeles area, where we can reach the beach, mountains, or desert in a few short hours. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me reading, journaling, listening to podcasts, drinking coffee, spending time in nature, taking photos of trees, clouds, and flowers, bopping around the country visiting my kids, cooking, playing mahjong, camping, traveling, hanging out with family/friends…and seeking joy and delight in every ordinary day.
